SilverCrest Care Group
SilverCrest provide the highest quality of care in specially-designed care homes across South Wales. Each of their homes is a real community where residents’ health and well-being are the top priority.
SilverCrest currently have five care homes, in Ystradgynlais Swansea Valley, Bridgend, Ystrad Rhondda, Pontypridd, and Williamstown, Rhondda. Each home is unique, reflecting its community, and is designed for a variety of specialist care.
The Brief
Yogi was appointed at the start of the SilverCrest Group journey to launch them and build their profile into the Welsh care home sector.
Yogi handled all elements of marketing and PR, event management, branding, copywriting, design, and print and event management.


What We Did
In a competitive care home market, Yogi has elevated the profile and reputation of the SilverCrest Group across South Wales through a fully integrated PR, marketing, and design strategy.
We have created a strong brand and look for the group while directing strong photography to make all marketing literature and adverts eye-catching and memorable. They have been admired by many at the Wales Care Awards, hospitals, Tesco banners.
We have adopted a proactive approach with pr stories with a pop-up restaurant experience in the homes and launching strong competitions such as an inter gardening project and art competition. We have also provided partnership opportunities for SilverCrest Group with Wilcare rise and recline furniture and other care or hospitality providers.
Yogi is very much seen as part of the SilverCrest family and has devised strategic motivational concepts for the staff with gift vouchers to thank the staff who have exceeded all expectations, organised annual ‘thank you’ events, unique team building days, and created an internal newsletter called iFlyer which keep all the staff in all five care homes across South Wales united and updated with all company news.
Award entry forms are an important way to recognise the hard work of the staff in the homes so Yogi has drafted these forms each year which has led to multiple wins over the last three years at the Wales Care Awards.
Results
When we announced the launch of the SilverCrest Group, we gained local coverage in the Western Mail, South Wales Echo, Wales Online and Business in Wales. We also received national coverage as the director of the group appeared in the Care Home Professionals Magazine in the ‘care homes to watch’ section.
Yogi helped to launch SilverCrests fifth bespoke dementia home with coverage across the Welsh media including Media Wales.
Using our network of contacts in the media, we collaborated with the health correspondent at Media Wales to film a Dementia Awareness training session at one of the homes which were posted on Wales Online.
SilverCrest has continued to grow. We have increased the number of followers to over 700 likes and 300 followers on Twitter with our engaging social media posts.
