This year marks 100 years since the foundation of the Diocese of Cardiff. On 7th February 1916, Pope Benedict XV issued the decree “Cambria Celtica” erecting the Cardiff Province.
To mark the occasion Yogi were commissioned to create a new brand for the 100 years to encapsulate all the events in and around the Archdiocese of Cardiff. The brand has been developed using the pastoral colours of the religious seasons, gold, purple, green and red. The celtic cross, number of years and christian fish ‘ichthys’ symbol completes the story.
From, brochures, programmes to church graphics and banners, the brand image is seen all over the diocese. This includes the archbishop’s crozier staff, made of solid silver, and within the curved headpiece the cross from the new identity.
